Amazing parking right at the end of Long Island overlooking the cliffs that look out to the Atlantic ocean! Great hike up to the old camp hero milltary base give a ton to do for the day. It states you need a valid fishing permit to park overnight but the locals know it's fine

Parking with night fishing permit only. It’s for fisherman only not for camping. Cops might come to check to see if you’re there for fishing. If not you will get a summon. Park at your own risk if you do not have night fishing parking.
