A bit loud from the highway but the views are awesome and the pot truffle vendor is on point.

We have overnighted in our diesel pusher on numerous occasions. Yes, it can be noisy but the price, the view and, the location are the reasons to stop. You must approach from SF, NO ACCESS from the MARIN side. Nearby trails and there is a day lot on the other side of the freeway that you can access from the Marin side. That lot fills up so arrive early or be patient. Sooner or later someone will leave. This is one of the best legal boondock spots on the planet. There is nothing sketchy about overnighting in any vehicle. You will be among several car campers and a few RVs on any night of the year. Technically there is an eight hour limit and you must not leave your vehicle. I would not be afraid to go for a little hike, stay a few extra hours or perhaps an extra night. I have never had trouble parking my pusher here. Lots of vehicles and even more spaces. Sunrise and sunset will very likely be memorable, even when fogged in.

Considered a rest area and parking is legal *up to 8hrs. Good for a night but not meant to camp out for extended periods. Can be loud and rowdy starting at 6:30am - 7am, and as late as midnight due to tourist traction. Felt safe overnight. Can accommodate larger rigs. Free restrooms as well.

Great view. A little noisy due to the traffic from tourists. The restrooms are disgusting and vandalized.

Slept 2 nights in October. Nice free place for the view, but washrooms are dirty and you can hear the road.
