About
The Mitchell Creek Loop Trails begin and end at US Hwy 24 - Tennessee Pass: The Mithcell Creek area offers two short 2.5 mile loops or the longer 7.5 mile Mitchell Creek Loop. This is mostly gentle terrain through lodgepole pine forest with a few climbs and descents mixed in. The Mitchell Creek Loop uses portions of the Colorado Trail, some winter-only trail, and short pieces of Forest roads, so make sure to bring a map or simply do an out and back.
* There is a printable Recreation Quicksheet for this trail [http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5186582.pdf] which is complete with directions, a map, details, and other information about this trail. Or to see quicksheets for other recreation areas across the Forest, click on the "Recreation Quicksheets" link in the right column and select the appropriate Ranger District.
