First available camping area at the beginning of the Rimrocker Trail about 7 miles outside Montrose. Far enough outside town to be quiet at night. Minimal shade. Main road in is 2wd ok, side roads HC to 4wd. There is at least one big spot on the way in that would be ok for a larger rig. Side roads close seasonally.
