Club de Pesca RV Park

Address: Baja California

Cost: Free

About

For vans or smaller trailers, this is a great alternative to Victor's which doesn't offer many beach views. Club de Pesca (also known as Fish Camp) is an awesome spot to camp, and is close to the malecon (1-mile beach walk). The office is located at the entrance of the park. The manager, Alvaro, speaks excellent English and perfectly fluent at it. Here you can ask for hookups, or dry camping on the beach. The resort has 31 beachfront sites. Site 101 begins to the left of the store and goes north to site 111. Site 201 begins to the right of the store and goes south to 220. There is a dump station for the dry campers to use if needed. Also, there is a small grocery store with essentials, and it's the location of the WiFi. In front of the store, there is a large, covered sitting area where you can hang out with family or friends. Sharing the same building, and next to the store is a Rec Room. You can play ping pong, watch satellite TV, use the kitchen (large gatherings), pick out a book to read on the patio or rent some blowup toys. Most sites have covered palapas where you can sit out of the sun or pitch a tent under. Larger sites designed for bigger RVs don't have them. We opted for dry camping on the beach, and had the area all to ourselves! While the camp is gated, people can still access your camp from the beach -- so lock up valuables if you plan on exploring. At night, Carlos, the security guard, will come by and do a sweep of the area, which is great. There is a lot of dune buggies on the weekend on the dunes behind the property, so weekends can get loud. Nothing ear plugs can't fix! Rates start at $15/night for beach camping, to $35 for hookups.
