Cliffside Tent Site

Welcome to Boulderdash! Located on a small private acreage with serene views on the Medina River. We are just 10 miles outside of Bandera so we offer the peace & quiet of the country. If you are looking for a place to get wild and party, keep looking. If you are looking for a place get away, relax and enjoy the river then keep reading! We offer river access for floating, paddling or swimming. Be aware that river levels vary widely. Sometimes we have a lake, sometimes a river, and sometimes a stream. Check for recent photos here or on Google to get an idea of the river levels. Even when the river is low we have a great swimming hole so bring your chairs, hats, sunscreen and shades. Come spend a weekend or longer at our little slice of paradise. We do not allow visitors of guests, so keep that in mind. If you want to share your experience with your friends or family they need to book their own site. Boulderdash hosts a Cabin, 3 RV sites and 4 rustic tent sites on 4.8 acres. Bandera is just 20 minutes away and they always something going on. It offers some great restaurants, several shops and best of all, Cowboys! If you like to hike the Hill Country State Natural Area boasts 40 miles of trails and is just a short drive away. If you are into horses there are several dude ranches out that way as well. Come on down Y'all, play in the river and enjoy the views! This site, nestled on top of the cliff overlooking the Medina River Valley, is our smallest & most private site. If you like privacy, pretty views & bird watching you will love this spot! It has a small fire ring and access to the community grill beside the observation deck. It is suitable for 1 tent (no larger than 8 ft), a truck camper or a van. It is a great spot for a couple just looking to get away from it all. Our tent sites are primitive and do not have power or water at the site. There is a power outlet at the observation deck to charge your phone or plug in a laptop. There is water at the bathhouse and a water hose at RV site #2 for potable water. We do not have trash service so you are required to take your trash with you when you leave. This site will accommodate 4 people, 1 tent and 2 pets. We include 1 vehicle with the site and have a 2 vehicle limit. If you bring a 2nd vehicle there will be a $10 fee and it must be parked at the site. Trailers of any kind are not allowed. We DO NOT allow visitors of guests.
