The Peltier Lake Trail begins at Rio Blanco County Road 10 and ends at Oyster Lake Trail #1825 [https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/whiteriver/recarea/?recid=40807]. The trail climbs an oakbrush-covered hillside and then winds through aspen for 3.5 miles to Peltier Lake. From Peltier Lake, the trail continues 3 miles through aspen, sagebrush and grassy slopes to Bailey Lake. The Oyster Lake Trail junction is 6.7 miles from the Peltier Lake Trailhead.
