Herman Creek Trail provides loop opportunities with Pacific Crest Trail [http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/crgnsa/recarea/?recid=30058], Gorton Creek Trail [www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/crgnsa/recarea/?recid=29922], and Nick Eaton Ridge [http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/crgnsa/recarea/?recid=30056]. The Herman Creek Trail is a total of 11.2 miles long, including sections that extend into Mt. Hood National Forest. [http://www.fs.usda.gov/mthood] The trail enters the Mark O Hatfield Wilderness [http://www.fs.usda.gov/main/crgnsa/passes-permits/recreation ] from the junction with Gorton Creek Trail #408.
