Trailhead: South Climb

Provides access to: South Climb #183 [http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/giffordpinchot/recarea/?recid=31934] which enters Mt Adams Wilderness [http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/giffordpinchot/recarea/?recid=79411] and is a major route to Mt Adams Summit [http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/giffordpinchot/recarea/?recid=80023]. Two main parking areas in Cold Springs Campground, at the trailhead, can fill up quickly during the summer season.  Drive with caution; traffic can be heavy in the high season.  Road is steep and narrow, with sharp switchbacks. No RVs or trailers.
