This scenic trailhead parking area provides access to trails ranging from easy to difficult, beautiful views of alpine lakes, wildlife, and Medicine Bow Peak, and a place to strech your legs with easy access to Medicine Bow Peak Trail [https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mbr/recarea/?recid=81557], Tipple Trail [https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mbr/recarea/?recid=22600], Lakes Trail [https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mbr/recarea/?recid=22570], and Lake Marie Falls. The Lake Marie Trail is a paved, wheelchair accessible trail that connects to Mirror Lake Picnic and Fishing Site [https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mbr/recarea/?recid=22488]. This parking are provides a perfect basecamp for exploring trails or a quick stop along the Snowy Range Highway, with two vault toilets.
Acces to the area by car is availe while the Scenic Byway is open, usually Memorial Day through October, weather permitting. Winter access is available by snowmobile.
