About

Recommended Users: Hikers, Mountain Bikers. Singletrack trail. 5.0 miles in length. Difficulty: Moderate/More Difficult. The most ambitious trail to date has to be Dead Ringer. Leaving from the Jem Trailhead, this trail makes a gradual descent from the mesa top, winding in and out of drainages and following the contours across steep slopes—really steep slopes. While the riding itself is not particularly difficult, you might want to think twice about riding this one if you suffer from vertigo or are uncomfortable riding narrow singletrack. You don’t want to go off trail here. Once off the steep slopes, the trail opens up fast and twisty with a half dozen optional jumps built in. The trail travels through classic desert terrain and offers views that are typical of all the trails in the system: great.SAFETY NOTE: Just past the intersection of More Cowbell Trail, the trail is benched into the slope of the mesa to provide a descent off the mesa. This section of trail is narrow and two-way. Please keep an eye out for other riders and hikers.Mountain Biking Loops: There are endless loop possibilities.
