About
This 1960s building was a gas station/convenience store. It was purchased by the National Park Service in the 1980s to be used as a visitor center. Rangers can answer questions and provide programs for your enjoyment. Today, natural and cultural history exhibits can be seen, gift items purchased, and you can watch the 28-minute orientation film. The off-road vehicle office that issues recreational use permits for the Preserve is also here.
