Upper Burnt Corral Recreation Site

Beautiful camp spot and boat launch. Requires an $8/day Tonto permit, or $80/annual discovery pass (worth it if you are staying more than 10 days). Both can be purchased at the Roosevelt Lake Visitor Center. These are first come first serve and semi private beach access shoreline camp spots. There are porta pottys and fire rings. The 88 (dirt road to get there) is steep and relatively narrow at parts with a high drop off into Apache Lake (not recommended for people terribly afraid of heights). The views are absolutely beautiful and worth it though! Way nicer and more relaxed camping than the neighboring Roosevelt Lake. No cell service! (You can make all your calls and send your texts at the Roosevelt Dam 5 miles up the road)
