About
Beautiful spot in the Francis Marion National Forest. Road in was very nice, a couple of pot holes but nothing a regular car couldn’t do. Surprisingly secluded. Only 1 other camper here on a Friday (beginning of October and hunting season!) we will see if it fills up tonight though. Awesome trails with a boardwalk through the swamp right across the street. There’s light traffic in the day on the road. A free permit is required but we didn’t get one and the rangers have passed by several times without an issue. No amenities except a fire ring and picnic table. Bugs are kinda bad but are thwarted off easily with a little bug spray. Highly recommend this spot- beautiful piece of nature surrounded by cypress trees and many different birds. 4 night maximum stay.

Very quiet, peaceful area. We got there after dark and were able to check ourselves into the campground via the entrance kiosk. Lo...
