Spirit Mountain Dispersed

This is a free dispersed camping area just outside Cody, Wyoming. Easy access at least to the first spot or two, and plenty of room to park- big rig friendly at the exact spot marked - there was a bluebird bus when we arrived. Spirit Mountain road continues for a long way with other spots to camp if you have 4WD and want to continue up the road. Be warned: the road is very narrow with very few places to turn around if you continue up beyond the BLM sign. Bring leveling blocks - there are only a few flat spots. Beautiful views of Cody & the Shoshone river from the nearby hillsides. NO services available here, and given the size and amount of people passing through, pack out ALL trash here, including human waste! Although service shows three bars of LTE, we had some trouble with data here (don’t plan on this location for data-intensive work). Nearby Cody has everything you need including a Walmart, free RV dump, laundromat, etc.
