From another map I have this looks like a patch of BLM. No no campings signs but lots of signs about no dumping which people are clearly ignoring. Locals use this area as a shooting range so lots of gun garbage around too. It could be a really beautiful spot with a stunning view of the surrounding hills and the lights of the town at night. Nice and windy to help break the summer heat. People do drive fast down the road so be careful with kids and dogs.

Stayed on a Sunday. One crew of ATVs buzzed past me around 8 but wasn't there long. A couple other parties went past...I think there's another pull-off beyond this trailhead that locals like. Or they just didn't want to stop by my van. Otherwise quiet, not bad. Altho I'm sure the weekends get trashy.
