Eagle Creek Campground

Great campground for $7/night! The views here can't be beat, and the night sky on a clear night is about as vibrant as can be. About a 5 minute drive from Yellowstone's Gardiner entrance. Accessible by just about any type of rig. I believe you can drive further up the dirt road past the campground entrance and free camp on some of the scenic pull-offs. There are 17 first-come-first-serve sites with a picnic table and fire ring. There is one shared pit toilet and no potable water or dump station at this campground. We had good enough verizon coverage to handle video calls for work. Hikers may note that there is a trail from the campground down the mountain to Yosemite river, three miles one way to the National Park border.
