About

Free beach camping NE of Surfside Beach. Beach access in the city of Surfside requires a permit acquired at any store for $12. From what we can find there is a 14 day max. The beach was freshly graded when we arrived. Easy driving along the hardpack beach with parking along dunes. Fires are allowed. Promasters beware, the sand along the edge of the dunes is soft. The Surside Food Mart has a bit of everything from snorkel gear to fishing rods, skim boards and camping basics. Snacks, beer and wine. Beware! High tide in Surfside can reach the dunes.
