If you don't want to pay $5 for Spring Recreation Site, there's a huge pullout along the road before it. It's dirt but flat with good Verizon signal.

We stayed at the paid camping sites and enjoyed the picnic table and water spigot right by our parking! $5 per night. It’s an awesome area to stop off and enjoy the river!
