San Luis State Wildlife Area

You will need to go to a Colorado Walmart Storting goods counter to get $35 1-year wildlife access pass if you do not have a CO hunting or fishing license. This used to be a state park but closed due to the water quality. It will appear closed permanently at the gate. There is a groundskeeper or camphost on site. The electric hookups are free. The sites are fairly level. Good location for big rigs who want to camp near the Great Sand Dunes NP. There’s NO POTABLE WATER. BYO.
