There are plenty of spots to choose from out here. We were asked to leave a park parking lot in Sedona as they started the hiking shuttle buses and were told to come park out here. Cell signal came and went--won't be able to work from this spot. This spot has plenty of room for lots of rigs and a beautiful view of Bear Mountain (highly recommend hiking to the peak!) but the only issue is driving out there sucked because it's so bumpy. You won't want to do many out and backs, so prepare all you'll need and just hangout there stationary a bit. You're allowed 14 day stay and then must find a different forest to park for another 14 days before you can come back here. 14 days max every 30 days, it resets. You can have a fire (responsibly) and must pick up after yourself! Clean up any trash you see, don't leave toilet paper 🧻 or anything else behind that you didn't find out there.
Good spot to set up camp and live for a bit while exploring Sedona! There are many dispersed camping sites off of the 525 Forest Service Rd heading in the same direction toward the Palakti Heritage Center. We camped at a married site passing the sign for Windmill Mountain. There were others there but they were all quiet and respectful. Gravel roads heading toward campsites, no cell service but great views on the horizon
