This is a dispersed camping site in the Jefferson national Forest very close to The Pines campground. This is a big open space, slightly sloped, with the two-track continuing past the clearing up the mountain. Not sure why but this seems to be a popular site to dispose of trash, especially rocket boxes? There were maybe a dozen rocket boxes scattered around the edge of the clearing. Only maybe one or two actually in service. Not a great site due to being sloped but you could definitely fit some big rigs here, maybe as many as 4 or 5. Careful if it rained recently, as this whole clearing could be mud soup in the right conditions.
