Large parking lot and public pier in Gulf Shores State Park with beach access. Paid parking plus additional fees to use the pier. I just wanted to walk on the pier but it was very crowded with fishermen. The pier was also damaged in a storm so only part of it is open. Not worth the entry fee in my opinion but great if you want to fish. Luckily there's a snack bar and beach access if you've paid for parking and don't want to spend much time at the pier itself. Bathrooms and trash available. Cold beach shower. RV parking spots for large rigs. I saw staff patrolling the parking lot checking if people paid the fee. No overnight. If you're colorblind, there's an Enchroma view finder on the pier that you can use before you have to pay the entrance fee, which is super cool!
