This is down in an abandoned rock quarry on BLM land. Folks use the area for shooting and OHV driving. There is significantly less road noise from the highway down here, and if you want to find any late afternoon shade this is where you'll need to look. The road down is bunpy but fine for moderate clearance 2WD as long as it's dry. Verizon down here was only enough for texting. Was happy to find the place essentially empty on a Saturday night in summertime. One group came by to watch the sunset. When we woke we found another van a long distance off and we passed a car/tent camper on the way out. Would stay here again if it was necessary.
