This location is the point that the National Forest begins. Follow the dirt road for maybe 1 mile off the pavement. There is a NFS sign and a cattle grate. Once you pass this you are on nation forest land. We camped here one night while visiting the park. The dirt roads were a bit soft when we were here and might be muddy after a good rain so use caution with 2WD vehicles.
