Ortiz Dog Park

Address: Santa Fe, New Mexico

Cost: Free

About

There are two parking lots - a smaller paved one with a toilet outhouse and a very large gravel lot with ample parking. Perfect place to spend 1-2 nights, especially if you have dogs. It is very busy from 5-8am and again from 3-7pm but after the sun set, it quieted down. Heard coyotes some of the night and a sports car pulled in around 10pm, circled, and left, but I didn’t feel unsafe. The parking lot lights are shut off around 10:30pm.

Quiet after dark. Picked up at sunrise. We stayed at the back dirt lot and had a pretty restful sleep.
