Darby Canyon Road Dispersed (Targhee Caribou NF)

Free, dispersed camping spots along Darby Canyon Road, most creekside with trees and lots of privacy. We counted 5 pull off spots before the Girl Scout/ church camp intersection, and 10 pull offs after that intersection as you continue to the Darby Canyon Trailhead. Decently maintained Forest Service road, especially before the Girl Scout camp intersection and some sites should be bigger-rig accessible. The road narrows though so drive slowly and make sure to look out for other vehicles. Use pre-existing fire rings (there are plenty)! There are signs posted that this is a high bear activity area so make sure you keep ALL scented items (food, anything that has touched food, bug spray, sunscreen, toothpaste, etc anything scented) stored inside your rig!
