OVERVIEW Twin Creek Campground on Lake Ouachita is a great family destination. The campground is great for anyone who wants a campsite at a lower price and doesn’t need electric and water hookups. The campground is small but has great features like a swim beach, boat ramp, and fishing pier. Campers will appreciate the beautiful water views looking East towards Hickory Nut Mountain. Twin Creek is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you can pay for your campsite(s) scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app. Download the free Recreation.gov mobile on Android or iOS app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.   RECREATION World-class striper fishing brings crowds of anglers year-round, and incredibly clear waters attract scuba divers, hoping to explore the flooded forests and mountain valleys below the lake's surface.   Hikers take pleasure in the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT), which lines the southern end of the lake. FACILITIES The campground has 15 campsite available. Other amenities inlude a restroom, swim beach, boat ramp, and fishing peir.  NATURAL FEATURES Lake Ouachita is fed from the cool waters of the Ouachita River in central Arkansas. Surrounded by the Ouachita Mountains and National Forest, it's crystal waters span over 40,000 acres and extend for 30 miles, making it the largest lake completely in the state of Arkansas. NEARBY ATTRACTIONS Explore Ouachita National Forest's 1.8 million acres, surrounding Lake Ouachita and extending across central Arkansas and southeastern Oklahoma.
