The roads to the western trailhead is very rough and not recommended for passenger vehicles. This trailhead can be a great point for being dropped off, allowing the visitors to hike, bike, motor bike to the connecting trailhead where a pickup vehicle can be staged to meet after the hike or ride. The trailhead is for the Davis Creek Trail #244 [http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/malheur/recarea/?recid=39932], this trail is very rocky and rugged and is recommended for more experienced riders.
