Located off the Halfmoon Road (FSR 110), Elbert Creek is a first-come, first-served campground adjacent to the Mount Elbert [http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/psicc/recreation/hiking/recarea/?recid=12506&actid=50]and Mount Massive Trailheads [http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/psicc/recreation/hiking/recarea/?recid=12508&actid=50]at 10,000 feet. This is a very popular campground for hikers. Facilities include picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and potable water.
High altitude sickness may occur at this altitude.

During the 2020 season, water will be temporarily unavailable at this campground. Please bring water for your camp, including enough water to completely drown your fire, leaving it cold to the touch, if you are having a campfire.
