1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa, built in 1886 and a member of Historic Hotels of America® since 2000 was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. When this "Grand Ol' Lady of the Ozarks" opened, the railroad had reached the village, bringing tourists eager to sample the healing waters of the local springs.
