About
Park at your own risk. Santa Barbara county outlaws sleeping in vehicles. However, we were in the company of 4 our so other overnighters when we stayed here for one night. This is NOT the parking lot for Shoreline Park, but it is the street parking on the park side, not the residential side. There were not signs outlawing overnight parking. We were as discrete as can be, using our window inserts the whole time, and not using any lights after dark. This was a bit of a pain, but the trade off was prime location for lead better beach, the harbor, and the greater downtown area, plus the nearby bathrooms. Road noise was steady til 11 or 12pm, and resumed around 6am with surfers excited to get on the water. Pretty bustling spot by 7am. If your rig isn't massive and you can be somewhat discrete and respectful, this spot is worth the risk of a knock.
