Lovely draping Spanish moss over all the oaks, and beautiful rainbow sunsets over Lake Pontchartrain. 30 minutes on the causeway to New Orleans, plenty of hiking and biking by the water and into the bayous. Full, partial, and primitive sites available. A little wet sometimes but warm without being hot. Pack bug spray!
