About
Stayed here one night (just to sleep). We wanted electricity to run our A/C, and this place did not disappoint. Just minutes off I-40, but a sweet escape from the highway. Very little noise or light pollution, and awesome views of the Milky Way. Right on a lake (though we never saw it), plus direct access to ATV trails. We got the vibe that this could be a family vacation spot - but we were alone. Beautiful wildflowers, semi-private, spacious campsites with fire pits and picnic tables. 60 to choose from, and many have shade. We didn’t check out the bathrooms, but apparently they have showers. Water and electric spots are $15 / night. We pulled in around 10 pm on a Wednesday and found the place almost empty. Never spoke to anyone and put our cash in the drop box on the way out. We would definitely return.
