Forest Service campground near Lake McLellan. Clean, peaceful, and spacious, with nice amenities. Just minutes off I-40, but a serene escape from the highway. Enjoy fire pits, picnic tables, and shade. Water and electric hook ups for $15, dry camping for $10, and day use for $3. Access to Lake McLellan and ATV trails. To get here: Drive 18 miles east of Groom, Texas, on I-40, take exit 128, and go north 3 miles on Farm Market Road 2477. When you come to the fork in the road, take a right toward the overnight campgrounds (or go straight for day use sites). There is a drop box for payment located near the camp host’s site.
